Looking for amazing food – walk just a few blocks to downtown Ann Arbor – try the Japanese Style Sablefish at Pacific Rim or enjoy a perfectly prepared Porterhouse at the Chop House.
Feeling a craving for Bi Bim Bop or Spicy Beef? There are several cozy Korean restaurants within minutes adjacent to the U of M campus like Kang’s.
Looking for a Movie Deeper than Divergent
March 24- 29 is when the 53d Annual Ann Arbor Film Festival starts up – you can enjoy one of the nights of competition or just stop by the legendary Michigan Theater (one of the only theaters that features both an organist and real buttered popcorn) to catch a film.
What about the Opera
We are blessed to be so close to the U of M Campus and all the amazing on-campus events – we could almost be called a University of Michigan Hotel.
The University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is putting on a production of the Opera “Julius Caesar in Egypt” March 26-29th at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theater – again just a few minutes from the hotel. Tickets are available through the University.
Feeling like Music, but maybe not the Opera
One of the time-honored traditions around Ann Arbor is to see one of the great musical acts at The Ark (another local institution). This weekend the Ark is featuring comic musician Heywood Banks on Friday night and local Blues artist Laith Al-Saadi on Saturday night..
Are You a University of Michigan Sports Fan or Parent
If you are in town to see the University of Michigan Baseball Team play Maryland, the Softball Team play Iowa, or the Women’s Tennis Team play Northwestern or Illinois – Welcome!
Need a Good Laugh?
Also close is the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase. This weekend they are featuring Mark Sweeney – a comedian who has appeared on Comedy Central and HBO.
