University of Michigan Football

Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverine Football Team will play at the Big House on September 19th against the University of Nevada Las Vegas from the Mountain West Conference. The game starts at noon (12 p.m).

Award Winning Soprano Audra McDonald

Audra McDonald brings prodigious vocal talent to Hill Auditorium on the campus of the University of Michigan September 17th.

Ms. McDonald has won six Tony Awards for her work on Broadway (including winning all the Tony’s available to women actors and singers). She will be appearing as part of the University Musical Society’s 2015/2016 season.

She will be accompanied by Andy Einhorn (piano), Mark Vanderpoel (bass), and Gene Luen (drums). The performance is scheduled to begin at 7:30.

Beat Poetry in a Beautiful Environment

Gary Snyder, who has been called the “Poet Laureate of Deep Ecology,” will perform a reading at White Lotus Farms. Mr. Snyder got his start in San Francisco and has been an accomplished and recognized poet since the 1950’s. The Farms are located at 7217 West Liberty Road.

His reading will start at 7:00 pm.

Women’s Soccer will play Nebraska at the U-M soccer stadium on Friday September 18th at 7:00 p,m.

Women’s Rowing takes on Michigan State at Bellville Lake on Sunday September 20th at 10:00 a.m

Women’s Soccer plays Iowa at the U-M soccer stadium on Sunday September 20th at 12:00 p.m.

Field Hockey plays Kent State at Ocker Field on Sunday September 20th at 2:00 p.m

Men’s Soccer plays Northwestern University at the U-M soccer stadium on Sunday September 20th at 3:00 p.m.

Looking For Laughs

This is a great weekend to visit The Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase

On September 17th they will host the Laugh Strong Tour featuring comedians Dean Masello, Adam Sokol, Brad Hagen, and Max Boyajian.

And on September 18th and 19th they will welcome home (U of M graduates) The Sklar Brothers who have appeared on ESPN, HBO, Comedy Central, and most recently on the USA series “Playing House” and Comedy Central’s show “@ Midnight.”
