Falstaff and Henry

The University of Michigan Department of Theatre and Drama will present Shakespeare’s play Henry IV Part 1 on December 10th through the 13th.

Henry IV part 1 has often been called Shakespeare’s greatest history play.

The performances will occur at the University of Michigan Power Center and the shows will take place at 7.30 p.m. on the 10th, 8:00 p.m. on the 11th and 12th, and at 2:00 p.m on the 13th.

Try A Little Oboe

The University of Michigan Symphony Orchestra will be performing with 2015 Concerto Competition Winner Andreas Oeste on December 9th at Hill Auditorium. Mr. Oeste will perform Christopher Rouse’s scintillating Oboe Concerto. The show starts at 8:00 p.m.

Before the show, there will be a lecture in the lower lobby of Hill auditorium starting at 7:30 p.m.

Gilbert and Sullivan Urge Patience

The University of Michigan’s Gilbert and Sullivan Society will perform Patience (or Bunthorne’s Bride) on December 10th through the 13th.

The performances of this Gilbert and Sullivan Opera will take place at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theater at the following times: Dec. 10, 8 p.m., Dec. 11, 8 p.m., Dec. 12, 2 p.m and 8 p.m., Dec. 13th 2:00 p.m.

Sports Options for U of M Parents and Fans

Wrestling will have a match against Michigan State University on December 10th at Cliff Keen Arena starting at 7:00 p.m.

Ice Hockey will play the University of Minnesota at Yost Ice Arena on December 11th starting at 7:05 p.m. and again on December 12th at 8:35 p.m.

Men’s Basketball will play Delaware State at Crisler Center December 12th starting at 12:00 p.m.

Women’s Basketball will play UCLA at Crisler Center December 13th starting at 2:00 p.m.

Men’s gymnastics will hold the Maize and Blue Intrasquad on December 13th at Cliff Keen Arena starting at 3:00 p.m.

Looking For Laughs

This weekend The Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase presents the comedy of Rodney Laney. Mr. Laney has performed at Laffapalooza, on HBO’’s P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy, and on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. The show starts at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, and 8:00 and 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
