Michigan Football

National Signing day is now behind us, but Jim Harbaugh pulled out all of the stops on February 3rd bringing Ric Flair, Derek Jeter, Tom Brady, and Desmond Howard to Ann Arbor for an invitation only event at Hill Auditorium.

 

Camille A. Brown

The University Musical Society brings Camille A. Brown & Dancers to Ann Arbor to perform her piece “Black Girl–Linguistic Play” on Saturday February 13th.

Ms. Brown is one of the leading voices in contemporary dance in America and “Black Girl” her most recent work explores themes of empowerment and identity. The piece ends with a moderated dialog between the performers and the audience.

The show will be performed at The Power Center and the curtain will go up at 8:00 p.m.

 

Is Love “Strong As Death?”

The University Musical Society Choral Union, under new director Scott Hanoian will perform an exploration of the themes of love and loss to the music of Duruflé, Brahms, and Vaughan Williams especially created for Valentine’s Day.

“Love Is Strong As Death” will be performed at Hill Auditorium and the concert will begin at 4:00 p.m.

Sports Options for U of M Parents and Fans

Women’s Basketball will play Wisconsin at Crisler Center February 11th starting at 7:00 p.m.

Wrestling will take on Purdue at Cliff Keen Arena February 12th starting at 7:00 p.m.

Men’s and Women’s Swimming will compete in the “First Chance Meet” starting at 11:00 a.m. on both February 13th and 14th at Canham Natatorium.

Men’s Basketball will play Purdue at Crisler Center February 13th starting at 2:00 p.m.

Women’s Tennis will compete against Notre Dame at the Varsity Tennis Center on February 14th starting at 1:00 p.m.

Men’s Lacrosse will play Colgate at Oosterbaan Field House February 14th starting at 1:00 p.m.

Women’s Gymnastics will compete against Michigan State University  at Crisler Center February 14th starting at 2:00 p.m.

The Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase is hosting comedian Tina Giorgi on February 11th, 12th, and 13th. Ms. Giorgi has performed on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival.
